THE 2012 COMMUNITY TOUR WALKS, BIKES AND RIDES INTO NEW YORK CITY ON JUNE 23, 2012!
Saturday, June 23rd 12PM - 4PM
Central Park 72nd Street entrance
Join Cabot Creamery Cooperative in celebrating New York City and the volunteers who make it strong! Farmers, cooperatives, credit unions and volunteer groups are gathering together to create the 2012 Community Tour in honor of those who give their hearts, time and skills back to our communities. From May 12th to July 7th, people from all over the East Coast will be walking, biking and riding all the way from Florida to Maine in celebration of volunteerism and the cooperative spirit. On June 23rd, we'll be gathering in Central Park to welcome them as they pass through New York City. And luckily for us, this date coincides with Adventures NYC, an event that transforms the park into a playground for the extreme outdoor enthusiast looking for a way to achieve the next best thrill in kayaking, rock climbing, obstacle courses, and a variety of other activities.
Find Cabot and partners along "Center Road" in the park for more fun activities, including cheese making demonstrations, live cooking shows (with recipes especially for the outdoors!), photo booths, information on how to get involved as a community volunteer . . . plus fun and games for the whole family! Enjoy a special day with your family, and encourage the spirit of community in New York City!
