Fish Popping on the Bronx River
River Park: Meet at the fish ladder sign near the waterfall

Come join us to help monitor juvenile fish popping on the Bronx River! "Popping" refers to the feeding behavior of a young alewife, when they leap out of the water to capture insects on the surface. We will be monitoring and counting the bubbles that we see to let us know how many juvenile alewives were born in our river.

Bring your own binoculars if you have and dress comfortable for weather at dusk.
