The Bronx River Alliance is Seeking a Science Research Mentor!

Are you a graduate student, doctoral student, professor, or professional research scientist who needs help gathering data in the field?

The Bronx River Alliance is seeking Science Research Mentors to support our EELS (Environmental Education and Leadership for Students) high school internship program. These talented interns spent the summer of 2022 learning about the basics of the Bronx River, and will be spending their academic year taking a deeper dive into research.

Interns will be divided into four groups, covering the following research topics:

  1. Historic Ecology
  2. Ecology
  3. Urban Health (including air pollution and park usage)
  4. Edible Plant Science

If you are currently doing research in or around the Bronx River and are willing to work with a dynamic group of high school students who can help you with field work, let us know!
