Citizen Science Steward Oppertunities

Bronx River Stewards are school groups, community groups, and individual residents who care for and monitor a section or several sections of the Bronx River. Stewards may monitor water quality conditions, organismal population data, measure health of trees and act as the primary watchdog for their stretch of the river!

Volunteer monitoring workshops are hosted through the Wade Into the River programs to train educators and community members how to collect, submit, and share useful data by using stadardized protocols and equipment.

To become a Bronx River Citizen Science steward school, please send your completed interest sheet to Kathalene Lamboy, Education Coordinator. Individuals interested in monitoring should read additional opportunities here.
