About the Foodway
The Bronx River Foodway is a pilot project at Concrete Plant Park to examine how a sustainable food landscape can be integrated into a public park. The goal is to jump-start the imagination and think about new ways to use land within the city.

This year, we had a very active season with a variety of programs including a Healing Drum Circle every Sunday, Cooking Classes, Zumba Classes, movie nights, and more. We thank you all for joining us along the river at the Foodway and making this a great season.

What’s next?
During the fall, the Foodway will be expanding. New developments will extend from the existing gardens near the Westchester Avenue park entrance that will include a berry walk, fruit trees, and a dry riverbed. These improvements will also help with drainage of the Pollinator and Fragrant Gardens. We're very excited about these new additions to the Foodway and we hope you will be able to join us for future planting opportunities.

For the time being, these new developments mean that Concrete Plant Park will be bustling as NYC Parks works to install them starting in November. Please bear with us as Concrete Plant Park undergoes this change and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
