Wade Into the Bronx River: Water Quality Monitoring Training for Stewards

As part of our Wade into the River series, we are pleased to offer this water quality training day in partnership with Sarah Lawrence College, Center for the Urban River at Beczak (CURB), and Riverkeeper.
Tentative schedule (subject to change):
9a-10p: water quality sampling training for new stewards
10a-12p: information on data interpretation, advocacy, education, and other applications
12p-1p: networking time, hands-on time with equipment, and questions for partner staff and experienced volunteers

Voice your suggestions and concerns at the City of New York for the next update on the City's Stormwater Management Program (SWMP) development as they speak on the reduction of trash in our local Bronx River and neighboring waterways.
This presentation will focus on:
Trash Free NYC Waters - and the goal to reduce the amount litter and debris that enters the City’s municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) and pollutes local waterways
