Soundview Oyster Reef Monitoring
Soundview Park-311 Leland Ave, Bronx, NY 10473

Join us with NY/NJ Baykeeper and the Bronx River oyster reef for oyster monitoring!

We will meet at the park entrance located at the corner of O'Brien Ave and Leland Ave at Soundview Park

Please be on time. Each monitoring session lasts approximately 3.5-4 hours, depending on tide. We will be entering the water and wading out to the reef (you will put on chest waders) to perform hands-on monitoring and data collection.

Know Before You Go

Bring socks (for the waders), dress in weather appropriate clothing, bring a bottle of water and sunscreen/hat, and prepare to get muddy! It’s a lot of fun, and you’ll meet new people who are looking to achieve the same goals as you.
