Natural Areas Conservancy and Super Steward Roseanne Andrade, will host a trail restoration event on Friday, May 27 at Bronx Forest Park.
Volnteers who participate in this event will help improve trail navigability by planting of native plants, removing non-native plant species and closing unofficial trails.
Location: Burke Ave Bridge
Time: 10am – 1pm
During this event you will:
- Plant native shrubs as part of forest restoration efforts
- Manage non-native plant species to improve the condition of the forest
- Close unofficial trails to improve navigation and reduce forest fragmentation
What should you bring:
- A water bottle
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Long pants
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes
