Project WASTE continues to produce interesting and valuable data! Are you interested in stewardship or community science? Project WASTE offers both! Throw on a pair of waders and grab a trash bag and help us remove floating waste from the river as well as count and categorize each piece so that we can investigate the sources of pollution to the river and stop trash where it starts.Â
The event will take place in-water at the Muskrat Cove trash boom. Nearby transportation includes the 2 train at 233rd Street and the Metro-North at Woodlawn. The activity will start around 10:30am and last until 12 noon.
All materials will be provided.
