Bronx River Alliance is thrilled to announce the return of public Food Scrap Drop Off at Bronx River House week days from 9-5pm. Thanks to our partners at DSNY, Grow NYC and Bronx Green Up at NYBG we are excited to encourage community members once again to bring plant based food scraps to Bronx River House (1490 Sheridan Blvd. inside Starlight Park). Most food scraps, including fruits and vegetables, eggshells, coffee grounds and tea bags, nuts, bread, rice, and pasta. Plant waste, including leaf and yard waste and houseplants. No meat, bones, or dairy. NOTE: This drop-off site CANNOT accept meat, fish, dairy, or food-soiled paper.Â
