Join Foodway Team member Mallory Craig in a special workshop on “foodways” and “foodsheds” learning how we shape our food system by what we eat! Through printed material and circle-driven dialogue, we’ll learn about our foodsheds and foodways and together collectively map those out. We’ll explore what a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is and explore its origin stories as crafted by and for poor Black farmers, to investigate what it means to support each other is our interconnected food systems. Mallory will share her CSA share of the week (from both herbal medicinal farm Sawmill Herb Farm and vegetable share from StoneLedge) and blend these foods/teas with what is growing in foodway in a taste-test and recipe card creation.
