Join the North American Indigenous Center for an afternoon of Native American Craft workshops at the Bronx River House in Starlight Park. This Saturday from 12-3pm, the workshops will focus on making dreamcatchers and using shells to make beadwork. There will also be an interactive station for Northeastern Native musical instruments.
Through this hands-on experience, you will not only learn intricate beading and dreamcatcher making techniques, but also gain insights into the broader mission of NAIC-NY, which focuses on Indigenous empowerment, cultural continuance, and intersectional equity. Come and be part of a vibrant community that honors the past and builds sovereign futures!
Please note that all activities are first come, first served, and spots for the workshops are limited.
Funding for this event was provided by the Ponce de Leon Foundation.
