Join Connor Youngerman of Cornell Small Farms and the Bronx River Foodway team for a deep dive into how to harvest from and winterize Air Pruned Raised Beds (APRBs). Following on the initial workshop this past April, this session will come full circle on how to implement APRBs as a propagation strategy. APRBs have been shown as an excellent method for growing a suite of urban tree species and hold great promise as a tool for forestry practitioners in NYC. Participants will have the opportunity to harvest and prepare saplings from the APRB, transplant them, and learn about overwintering the beds as a strategy.
