Location Along the Bronx River

Mouth Of The Bronx River

River buoys 5 and 6 mark the Mouth of the Bronx River. At this point the river joins the East River and from it, connects to New York Harbor, Long Island Sound, and the Atlantic Ocean. Looking clockwise from Soundview, you will see the Whitestone Bridge, LaGuardia Airport, and Riker’s Island. From here, prepared, experienced paddlers have many options to explore New York City’s connected waterways.
