Community Composting Along the River

February 17, 2010- Portland, OR- Green yard debris roll carts and a new compost pail for the launch of the City of Portland Bureau of Planning & Sustainability's food scrap collection program for residents.

We are so happy to announce that we will be accepting food scraps to compost over at River House, 1490 Sheridan Boulevard.  Come by every Friday from 9 am to 11am to drop off your scraps.

We are joining our partners New York Botanical Garden Compost Project and NYC Compost project hosted by Big Reuse in offering a weekly, year-around public food scrap drop off site. Stop by Friday mornings and drop off your vegetable and fruit scraps to convert into healthy compost. No meat or dairy is accepted at this site.
