Join us on Sunday, June 18, 2023 for a Lake Paddle on the Bronx River! This guided paddle takes place at the Mitsubishi River Walk in the Bronx Zoo. It takes paddlers out on the calmest part of the freshwater portion of the river. This is a great introductory paddle, and an amazing opportunity for families to get out on the water!

Paddlers will have the option of a canoe (for doubles and families) or a single-person kayak. Solo paddlers will be given priority for our limited number of kayaks. We will provide boats, paddles, PFDs, and a basic paddling safety orientation prior to getting on the water. We ask that participants wear appropriate athletic clothing that may get wet, including closed toe shoes! A ziploc bag to protect a phone or other essentials is also a great idea. We strongly recommend that participants bring a reusable water bottle and a snack for their time out on the water.

All participants must fill out and sign a release waiver before getting on the water.

COVID Safety Protocols: Please perform an at-home health check before attending this event, and stay home if you are experiencing any of the following: cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, or a new loss of taste or smell.
