Join the Greenway and Ecology programs in a data-driven Bike and Bird. We will be stopping at a handful of locations in the southern 4 miles of the Bronx River looking for herons, egrets, and if we’re lucky, plovers. This will be an opportunity to conduct wading bird monitoring surveys based on NYC Audubon’s data collection protocols. Group size will be limited to 15. You must have your own bicycle.

The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows.
The Alliance works in close partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and with over one hundred other partners to reclaim the Bronx River.
