Join the Bronx River Alliance from 12-4pm at Starlight Park to celebrate City of Water Day! We’re coming together to celebrate our waterfronts and help build resilient, connected communities.
There are so many ways to enjoy this free event:
- Art activities led by local artists
- Drumming performances
- Zumba
- Journaling in Nature
- Sample teas made from plants foraged from the Bronx River Foodway
- Join an Ecology Walking Tour of the Bronx River Greenway from Garrison Park to Starlight Park (1pm – 3pm)
- Meeting point for this tour is Garrison Park at 1pm
- Tour will be at a conversational pace, and will end at Starlight Park by 3pm
- Water Quality Monitoring Workshops from The Point CDC and SUNY Maritime
- Workshops will take place inside the Bronx River House at 1pm and 2pm
- Learn about how climate change connects and impacts our communities along the river, and join the efforts of the Bronx Climate Justice Task Force!
- Join a “Paddle and Pick Up” canoing activity to steward and restore the Bronx River. (Please note that advance registration required to participate in the paddle – please sign up here). If registration is full, email paddle@bronxriver.org to join the wait list!
