Join Joanna and learn how to grow oyster mushrooms using reclaimed food-safe containers, recycled cardboard (wax-free produce boxes), and rescued coffee grounds from local Bronx cafes. Using items diverted from the waste stream, participants will innoculate their own bucket/container to take home. Bring your own your own container (food grade quart containers – soup or yogurt containers) for use during this workshop. Note: This is one of this year’s Community Grant workshops.
