Join the Bronx River Alliance at Council Member Kevin Riley’s Spring Festival Family Day, for a free community paddle at the Shoelace Park boat launch!

The boat launch is near the Olinville Playground, accessible from 219th Street and Bronx Blvd entrance of the park. Come see your neighborhood from a different perspective, and enjoy the other activities available at the Family Day with Council Member Riley at 222nd Street!

This event is first come, first served with no pre-registration available.

“Waves” of paddlers will enjoy the river for about 30-40 minutes, after signing waivers and receiving a brief paddling safety orientation. A total of 4 waves of participants will be able to go on-water every hour of the event (12pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm), with a maximum of about 15 participants per wave.

Staff and volunteers will be on-water to ensure safety, but please keep in mind that this is not a guided tour of the river.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult. Waivers for minors will need to be signed by an adult guardian.
