Natural Areas Conservancy and Super Steward Roseanne Andrade, will host a trail restoration and planting event on Friday, April 22 at Bronx Forest Park. Volnteers who participate in this event will help improve trail navigability by planting of native plants, removing non-native plant species and closing and planting of unofficial trails.
During this event you will:
- Plant native shrubs as part of forest restoration efforts
- Manage non-native plant species to improve the condition of the forest
- Close unofficial trails to improve navigation and reduce forest fragmentation
What should you bring:
- A water bottle
- Weather appropriate clothing
- Long pants
- Sturdy, closed toe shoes
