Join us for a combination of two amazing events: ICC and Instectageddon!

The International Coastal Cleanup is one of the biggest cleanup events of the year, encouraging volunteers from around the world to collect trash that pollutes our waterways. This year we want to dedicate this work to some of the most overlooked residents of the Bronx River: our insects! Waste and habitat destruction threaten their survival, and now more than ever they need our help. Insectageddon is a festival inspired by artist Cecilia Vicuña, reflecting on and raising awareness for our interconnectedness with the insect world. Come celebrate these tiny heroes with family-friendly activities, join a cleanup team, and learn how you can help make a difference!

Check-in at River House in Starlight Park (1490 Sheridan Blvd, Bronx, NY 10459). After checking in at River House, volunteers will split into 2 groups. 1st group will help out at Starlight Park and 2nd group will help out at Concrete Plant Park (1370 Westchester Avenue, Bronx, NY 10459).

– Cleanup equipment, masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, social distancing guidelines, and temperature checks will be provided.

– You can download Ocean Conservancy’s Clean Swell® app to help us record the trash we collect!
