On Thursday, November 7th, 9:30am-12p we will be removing invasive plants and planting in Bronx Park with our Conservation Crew!
Our team will meet volunteers at the Burke ave bridge located inside the Bronx ParkÂ
The Burke Ave Bridge is accessible via 2 entrances, Burke Ave and Rosewood Ave. The Rosewood Ave entrance offers bathroom facilities and water foundation. Only street parking is available and hard to find.

Access via Burke Avenue and Bronx Park East (40.871463, -73.870697) entrance, 11 minute walk from the 2 or 5 train – Burke ave stop. Once you get off Burke Ave stop, head West on Burke Ave, towards Olinville Ave, and walk for 3 blocks. Once you reach Bronx Blvd, take a right turn and continue walking for 1 block until you reach Rosewood ave. Safely cross Bronx Blvd into the park, then follow the main path taking 2 slight left turns, then 2 right turns, respectively. Continue the path until you reach Burke Ave Bridge.

Access via Rosewood Ave (40.873236, -73.870496) entrance, a 7 minute walk from the 2 or 5 train – Burke ave stop. Once you get off Burke ave stop, head West on Burke ave for 3 blocks until you reach Bronx Blvd. Safely cross the street, and you’ll see the entrance. Upon entering, take the left set of stairs down until you see a triangle path. On the path, take a right turn and follow the path all the way through, no need to make any more turns when you reach any intersection.
When you arrive, we’ll provide you with an introduction into our work we do along the river and the necessary tools you’ll be using for the day.
Please wear clothing appropriate for outdoor weather and gardening/cleaning activities. We also recommend bringing snacks and a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated.
