Join parks advocates from across the city on the day of the parks budget hearing at City Hall. New Yorkers for Parks and the Play Fair Coalition are telling Mayor Eric Adams and the City Council to allocate 1 percent of the city budget for NYC Parks!
From New Yorkers for Parks: “Rather than making our parks a policy priority, the mayor’s preliminary budget cuts the Parks budget by $60 million, with the parks department losing 3,500 positions funded last year. After two years of covid and 40+ years of disinvestment, this is not the time to reduce funding for our parks and open spaces.”
*Please note: registration is not required to attend the rally, but will help the organizers plan.
