Join Rocking the Boat for the Community Rowing events that takes place every Saturday and Sunday starting May 28th, from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend out of Hunts Point Riverside Park.
Through Community Rowing, New Yorkers of all ages explore the Bronx River aboard student-built wooden row boats, accompanied by Rocking the Boat staff who teach them about the local waterways.
Community Sailing, a free event open to the public, aims to make sailing a staple of the South Bronx waterfront. Over four weekend days throughout the summer, community members can try their hand at sailing. Community Sailing happens in Hunts Point Riverside Park on select weekends.
Community Birding brings birdwatching to the shores of the Bronx River. Participants can identify and learn about local species with knowledgeable guides. Binoculars and field guides will be provided. The Community Birding table can be found in Hunts Point Riverside Park directly across from the Community Rowing welcome tent.
No reservations required. Dates are subject to change. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult guardian.
