Connect with the plants nature brings us every spring. In this workshop led by Journei Bimwala organized by GreenThumb, participants will learn how to identify, harvest, and use the wild medicinal and edible plants that surround our gardens and community. Participants will get to take home any wild herbs and greens that they forage at the Concrete Plant Park Foodway.

Facilitated by Journei Bimwala, Friends of Concrete plant Park. Journei Bimwala is a Bronx native who has dedicated her life to educating the Bronx communities on the importance of using native & bioregional plants. Since 2017, she has been an active leader at the Foodway at Concrete Plant Park, NYC’s sustainable food landscape. She is a clinical herbalist, forager, and educator.
