Join us on Sunday, October 3, 2021 for an Upper River Paddle on the Bronx River! This guided paddle starts at the Shoelace Park boat launch at 219th Street and ends at the Bronx Zoo Mitsubishi Riverwalk. It takes paddlers through some of the more heavily forested sections of the river, including old-growth forest within the New York Botanical Garden that pre-dates European colonization of the area.
The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows.
The Alliance works in close partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and with over one hundred other partners to reclaim the Bronx River.
