This one-mile in the Bronx River Greenway, which opened in 2013, connects the South Bronx neighborhoods of West Farms and East Tremont to an extensive trail system in the mid- and north Bronx. Following this link, cyclists, walkers and rollerbladers can easily reach the trails of the Bronx River Greenway and Mosholu—Pelham Greenway systems and connect to destinations like the Bronx Zoo, NY Botanical Garden, Orchard Beach, Pelham Bay Park, and Van Cortlandt Park.
The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows.
The Alliance works in close partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and with over one hundred other partners to reclaim the Bronx River.
