Celebrate Earth Week!

Join the Bronx River Alliance as we celebrate our Earth and our Bronx River with a week full of stewardship, workshops, and free family-friendly events! And make sure to join us for a celebration and *free* fun activities at the Bronx River Open House on Saturday, April 23!

 

Monday, 4/18

Pitch in to pick up at Starlight Park. Starting at 9am volunteer on cleaning litter and become a steward of the Bronx River. 

 

Tuesday, 4/19

Flutter By! Habitats are Homes for Pollinator Virtual Workshop. Starting at 11am, learn how habitats are home for pollinators and how to protect them.

Wednesday, 4/20

Tree Planting in the Bronx River Forest. Starting at 9:30am, help preserve vital habitat along the river by planting native trees. 

Thursday, 4/21

River Cleanup at Fort Knox in Bronx Park. Starting at 9:30am, put on some waders and help remove litter and debris from the river. 

Thursday, 4/21

Oak Street Loop Nature Walk. Starting at 10am, welcome spring in Mount Vernon by exploring nature along the Bronx River.

Friday, 4/22

Spring Foraging Workshop at the Concrete Plant Park Foodway. Starting at 4pm, connect with plants and nature that brings the spring.

Saturday, 4/23

Bronx River Open House at Starlight Park. Starting at 12pm, paddle, learn about the environment, bring your compost, repair your bike, and more!
