Mulchfest 2009

P1090015

On January tenth and eleventh, the Bronx River Alliance mulched Christmas trees from the West Farms community. The aroma of the pine trees going through the woodchipper filled the blistery air with a lovely fragrance. Lots of people came by to take some of the mulch home. In total we chipped 156 trees which will be later used to mulch our trails.
On another note, we would like to congratulate CrewLeader Mike Mendez on his new new baby boy Kyai born on January seventh 2009.
