Please Don’t Flush the Toilet. It’s Raining.

Around our office, we like to say, "Save it for a sunny day" when we talk to people about how they can help our sewage overflow problems. Neighborhoods in Brooklyn and Queens have been pilots for the NYC Department of Environmental Protection‘s WAIT program, but not here in the Bronx. The New York Times went out with our colleague Willis Elkins from Newtown Creek Alliance for an up-close look at what happens to our waterways when it rains.
