Bald eagle returns to the Bronx River!

DSC_0702

After not seeing a bald eagle on the river in decades, this year we were blessed to spot this magnificent creature 5 times on the river! While we can’t say for sure, that the eagle has a nest on the river, the fact that they are visiting so often, means that the Bronx River is a hospitable spot for this once endangered species. Check out this video of the eagle enjoying a seagull on the docks at Starlight Park.
