Thanks to the help with various partners, including Girl Scouts of Greater New York, Student Conservation Association, and Center for the Urban Beczak, the Bronx River Alliance hosted its first ever Earth Week — a weeklong celebration of our planet that included volunteer opportunities, educational panels, water quality monitoring training, and the New York City Nature Challenge!
In that week alone, we hosted 150+ volunteers, planted 250+ trees, and picked up 60 bags of garbage from the Bronx River.
Thank you to all that came out and helped make our planet and neighborhoods a better place. We look forward to hosting an even better Earth Week next year!
