This past weekend we had the opportunity to table at the Pelham Bay Nature Day at Pelham Bay Park. This was a family friendly event, where multiple community partners came together to celebrate the nature in the Bronx, as well as participate in nature walks, workshops, and a back-to-school backpack giveaway. Education Coordinator Amber Plaksin and Foodway Associate Liz Paredes got the chance to speak to the community about the various programs and offerings that our organization has, and they also got to meet-and-greet with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Overall, it was a wonderful community event, and we hope to participate again in the future!
