Project WASTE picks up 150,000 pieces of trash on the Bronx River

projectWASTEv2

With the help of over 350 hardworking volunteers, together we collected 150,000 individual pieces of litter throughout the Bronx River. We gathered data from 84 trash assessment days throughout the year and totaled over 1,500 cubic feet of trash!

While this milestone is impressive we plan to continue with Project WASTE in 2018 and use our data to inspire new legislation that will help put an end to trash in the river.
