Bronx River House is a milestone, showing the Alliance’s growth as an organization. It is a fittingly beautiful and cutting-edge building to match the ground-breaking work that we do on the river. Donors of $1000 or more will be recognized in the foyer of the building. We are providing local artisan Ivan Braun with wood from a tree that fell in the Bronx River watershed. He is shaping the wood into slats and planing them with equipment at Rocking the Boat, our long-time partner on the river. The names will then be engraved into the wood at Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School. The design is being prepared by the architects of the building, Kiss + Cathcart. This homegrown process engaging our local talent and partners reflects our approach to restoring the river, and it will be a beautiful entryway to the building.
