As highlighted in our recent Greenway Blog post, the first stage of Starlight Park Phase 2 is nearing completion. As spring has arrived in the Bronx, so has planting season! Construction crews at the project site have started to lay sod and plant trees, riparian plants, and other native species to restore habitat and naturally landscape the future park. Work is expected to be fully completed by June 2020. Take a look at these amazing photos from the construction site:

The Bronx River Alliance serves as a coordinated voice for the river and works in harmonious partnership to protect, improve and restore the Bronx River corridor so that it can be a healthy ecological, recreational, educational and economic resource for the communities through which the river flows.
The Alliance works in close partnership with the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation and with over one hundred other partners to reclaim the Bronx River.
