On Saturday May 26, over 70 paddlers joined by NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver and NYC Council Member Andy King celebrated the Amazing Bronx River Flotilla, a 5-mile Bronx River paddle.
Paddlers explored places like Shoelace Park, the New York Botanical Garden, the Bronx Zoo, West Farms Rapids, Starlight Park, and Concrete Plant Park. They were greeted by NY Assembly Member Marcos A. Crespo and NYC Council Member Rafael Salamanca Jr. along with other river supporters at Hunts Point Riverside Park and enjoyed an afternoon out in the park with music and great food kicking off our the 2018 paddling season.
