Volnteer Spotlight: Jesse Marcado

unnamed

Jesse has been a very dedicated volunteer for the Bronx River this summer, mainly monitoring its water quality. He recently graduated from Lehman College with a bachelor’s degree in science, majoring in environmental science and minoring in music.

"Working with the Bronx River Alliance has been very important for me. I’m really grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a dedicated community. It has given me a much stronger sense of environmental justice. It makes me feel like a protector, a warrior of nature, as we all should as citizens of planet Earth. The only planet we know of with life so far. Remember, ONE Earth, ONE chance, ONE life, and change starts with you. "–Jesse M.
