Seen on the River

Ducking Around

Many ducks love to travel in groups. The four duck species seen here at Muskrat Cove were paddling and taking naps together. They are (clockwise from top left): a wonderful pair of wood ducks, a handsome pair of hooded mergansers, some beautiful black ducks, and some mingling mallards. Each species has their own needs but they all depend on the Bronx River! Find out what else lives around the Bronx River here.
