Food Scraps Drop Off at Bronx River House

February 17, 2010- Portland, OR-  Green yard debris roll carts and a new compost pail for the launch of the City of Portland Bureau of Planning & Sustainability's food scrap collection program for residents.

Bronx River Alliance is excited to share the return of public Food Scrap Drop Off at Bronx River House week days from 9-5pm. Thanks to our partners Big Reuse and Bronx Green Up at NYBG we are excited to encourage community members once again to bring plant based food scraps to Bronx River House (1490 Sheridan Blvd. inside Starlight Park). Visit additional food scrap drop off locations / options by visiting HERE.

Most food scraps, including fruits and vegetables, eggshells, coffee grounds and tea bags, nuts, bread, rice, and pasta. Plant waste, including leaf and yard waste and houseplants. No meat, bones, or dairy. NOTE: This drop-off site CANNOT accept meat, fish, dairy, or food-soiled paper.
