The Bronx River Alliance stands with the Asian community during this frightening streak of violence and prejudice. In support of the fight against this wave of xenophobia and racism, we will be promoting the organizations doing the important work to protect and uplift the Asian community.
The goal of the Bronx River Alliance is to develop a future for the Bronx River where the entire Bronx community is empowered to visit its banks, enjoy its parks and trails, and become involved in the ongoing project to protect and restore its condition.
Acts of hate and discrimination, such as the horrific violence committed against innocent bystanders in Atlanta, have no place in our work, and will not find a home along the banks of the Bronx River.
At the same time, the Bronx River Alliance admits its own shortcomings in welcoming all groups equally to the river, and commits to the continuing effort to invite any and all Bronxites to take advantage of this shared communal resource as a space for restoration, community-building, and healing.
