Alyssa is a Bronx native and environmental advocate. She is passionate about connecting NYC communities to environmentalism. During her time at Queens College, she drew a personal connection to the Young Lords, her grandfather’s role at Dept of Sanitation, and the environmental injustices her South Bronx community faced. With that realization, she earned her degree in Environmental Studies and pursued volunteer work to garner public attention towards environmental awareness and education.
