Mailah is a graduate of Hunter College and holds a Bachelors in Urban Studies. Having lived in the Bronx since she was 7 years old she is passionate about making it a place that people enjoy coming home to. Mailah has got to experience first hand the common neglect for public recreational spaces such as the Bronx River. She hopes to use the lessons learned and experiences gained in her previous careers to make the Bronx River a clean and safe place for Bronx residents to enjoy. Though Mailah has little experience with non-profit organizations such as the Bronx River Alliance she is excited and determined to work towards Improving, Protecting, and Restoring the Bronx River.
