Penny Brown supports the Conservation Manager in supervising crew members, trainees, and volunteers. She joined the Conservation Crew in 2003 and has since worked her way up into ever increasing levels of work responsibility. In addition to overseeing and participating in the work of the Bronx River Conservation Crew, she conducts and records data for fish and plant monitoring projects, teaches water quality monitoring methods, instructs trainees and promotes a productive learning environment, and is skilled in the use and maintenance of crew equipment.
