Sneha Ganguly

Recreation Assistant

Sneha Ganguly hails from Jamshedpur, India, a steel town neighboring the largest river delta in the world, the Ganga River, from where she gets her name. Sneha immigrated to New Jersey at the age of eight, and completed her studies at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, double majoring in art history and economics. Sneha is a visual artist specializing in mycology, and is passionate about community science, diversity in outdoor recreation, sustainability and cultural heritage preservation. She teaches online courses on mycology and mushroom cultivation for Cornell Small Farms and community organizations across NYC. She also helped found the city’s inaugural Fungus Festival, in partnership with New York Mycological Society. Sneha is thrilled to join the Alliance to support the paddle program and help New Yorkers commune with the Bronx River! Contact info: sneha.ganguly@bronxriver.org
