You can have fun AND help the Bronx River Alliance! Our goal? To keep canoeing accessible to 1,000 Bronx youth and families. Party with us!
The Annual Amazing Bronx River Flotilla is a 5-mile paddle down the Bronx River to raise funds for the Alliance’s Canoe Program and the River. Save the date: Saturday May 14, 2022 (Rain date: Sat. May 21, 2022).
How does it work? A designated captain will form a team of 6 people (in 3 canoes) to paddle down the Bronx River. Each individual will commit to fundraising a total of $350 per person or $2,100 per team.
Paddlers need to register in advance, so we know who’s coming.
Individuals spots area also available, please contact Chris Caraballo to help you find a team.
We support your fundraising! We provide you with your very own online fundraising webpage to spread the word to family, friends and social networks.
Don’t want to paddle or unable to fundraise? You can still contribute or join! Contribute to the event and your favorite teams here. OR, join us at Starlight Park starting at 11am for FREE Community Rowing, face painting, and produce distribution on Saturday, May 14.

The Amazing Paddle Details! On Saturday, May 14, 2022, you’ll get a chance to paddle through the NY Botanical Garden and the Bronx Zoo, and get a close look at the fish ladder at the 182nd St. dam! (Note: We’ll offer on-site support when possible, but please be ready to carry or wheel your canoe with your partner at these portage sites.)
The paddle ends at Starlight Park with a gathering at the unique River House.
We provide you with all the necessary equipment: a canoe, paddles, and life vests for your team. To sign up for this event you must be 18 years of age and feel comfortable canoeing in rivers. All participants will receive a t-shirt and a goody bag. There will be fun prizes for the top fundraising teams and individuals.
You MUST bring both the Adult Waiver Form as well as the Consent to Use Name and Likeness Form on the day of the event in order to participate.
Spots are limited for the 5-mile paddle. Time is now to form your team, come up with an exciting team name and designated captain, and start raising funds. You are making  canoeing on the river open and accessible for thousands of New Yorkers to enjoy!
