Another Great Boogie Up the Bronx River Ride

IMG_2370

On October 5th nearly 50 cyclists made their way up and back down the entire length of the Bronx River Greenway during the annual Boogie Up the Bronx River Bike Ride. The ride started at the southernmost point of the Greenway in Soundview Park in the Bronx and led riders through the Bronx into Westchester to the Kensico Dam, the headwaters of the Bronx River in Valhalla, NY.

During the lunch break special guest, Steve Vaccaro, of the law firm Vaccaro and White, gave a short talk on legal rights of cyclists and what to do in a crash. Shortly after lunch the cyclists who opted for a longer route began their journey back down the Greenway to return to the Bronx. The ride ended by joining the film screening of Decade of Fire at Concrete Plant Park.

Thank you to all of our amazing volunteers and partners that helped make the ride possible!
