Highlights of the Greenway

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday

9am to 5pm

Located in Starlight Park, River House is the Alliance’s brand new headquarters right on the banks of the Bronx River. Featuring a community boat house and environmental classroom, River House is the central hub for the ongoing restoration projects. With its innovative green design, River House has been called “the Greenest Building in the South Bronx” by The New York Times.

What was once an active concrete plant is now a beautiful waterfront park featuring NYC’s first “edible food forest.” Come to Concrete Plant Park to explore the Bronx River Foodway, participate in stewardship events, or just to enjoy the waterfront!

Bronx River Forest

See one of the only remaining unlogged forests in NYC

The Bronx River Forest is one of the only remaining unlogged forests in NYC. The parks and trails of the forest offer a quiet waterfront retreat as well as a snapshot of the city’s ecological past. Explore the forest today!
